Information about the course: This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond to and manage facility emergencies, support emergency planning and provide advice in relation to fire safety in Queensland workplaces. Under Queensland legislation, a Fire Safety Adviser must hold a current building fire safety qualification. A qualification is considered current if it was issued within the previous three years. Target Audience: Anyone who may be required to undertake the role of a Fire Safety Adviser in Queensland, particularly within high-occupancy buildings where the appointment of a suitably qualified Fire Safety Adviser is required under the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008. Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisites for this course Award issued: Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: PUAFER001 – Identify, prevent and report potential facility emergency situations PUAFER002 – Ensure facility emergency prevention procedures, systems and processes are implemented PUAFER003 – Manage and monitor facility emergency procedures, equipment and other resources PUAFER004 – Respond to facility emergencies PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation PUAFER006 – Lead an emergency control organisation PUAFER007 – Manage an emergency control organisation PUAFER008 – Confine small emergencies in a facility This Nationally recognised course is delivered on behalf of and in Partnership with Health Security Education RTO 40907 Course duration: 3 days full time training (Approximately 8 hours per day).
