Fire Safety Advisor (QLD) - Skill Set
Information about the course: This skills set describes the skills and knowledge required to respond to and manage workplace emergency incidents utilising equipment such as fire extinguishers/fire blankets and spill kits. In addition to providing the skills and knowledge to give advice in relation to fire safety in workplaces. Target Audience: Anyone who may be required to respond and manage a small workplace emergency or may be required to hold the role of fire safety advisor in workplaces as required by relevant fire safety legislation. Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisites for this course Award issued: Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: PUAFER001 Identify, prevent & report potential workplace emergency situations PUAFER002 Ensure workplace emergency prevention procedures, systems and processes are implemented PUAFER003 Manage and monitor workplace emergency procedures, equipment and other resources PUAFER004 Respond to workplace emergencies PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation PUAFER007 Manage an emergency control organisation PUAFER008 Confine small workplace emergencies This Nationally recognised course is delivered on behalf of and in Partnership with Health Security Education RTO 40907 Course duration: Face to Face: 3 days full time training (8 hours per day), no further course work should be required after the 3 days. Important information regarding course durations: Course durations, as mentioned above, are reflective of group sizes of between 8 and 14 participants. If there are less students in a group, you may find course duration reduced. If a class size exceeds 14 participants it may therefore also be necessary to increase course duration depending on the number of participants.
