Information about the course: This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle in on-road and off-road environments. It includes vehicle preparation, route and journey planning, driving techniques across varied terrain, vehicle recovery and basic maintenance. Target Audience: Anyone who may be required to operate a four wheel drive vehicle in remote, off-road or field environments and who requires more detailed practical training in vehicle operation, recovery and maintenance. Prerequisites: Participants must hold the appropriate class of driver licence for the vehicle being used. Award issued: Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: PMASUP236 – Operate vehicles in the field RIIVEH305F - Operate and Maintain a 4WD This Nationally recognised course is delivered on behalf of and in Partnership with Health Security Education RTO 40907 Course duration: 2 days of face-to-face training, including comprehensive practical four wheel drive training in the field.
